AG: Cuomo Sexually Harassed Multiple Women
New York Attorney General Letitia James today announced that her office's investigation into Governor Andrew Cuomo has found that he sexually harassed multiple women. A detailed report is being issued today.
"Our investigation revealed that these were not isolated incidents," said Joon H. Kim, one of the attorney investigators today. "They were part of a pattern."
During the 11 hours of questioning last month, Cuomo denied physically touching a female state trooper assigned to his detail, according to attorney investigator Anne Clark.
James said that her office at this time "will not be engaging in a criminal investigation with respect to the conduct of the Governor of the state of New York" and that her office's work is now concluded.
Clark added that all 11 women who were interviewed by the investigators regarding sexual harassment were found to be credible. "Things were very well corroborated," Clark said.
Late today, Cuomo issued a statement which read in part:
"First, I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances. I am 63 years old. I have lived my entire adult life in public view. That is just not who I am and that's not who I have ever been."
