Beginning Monday, Garnet Health/Harris and Garnet Health/ Middletown will be mandating Covid-19 tests on all patients admitted to the hospitals for any reason and upon discharge to any group facilities, such as nursing homes.
That's according to a "Practice Alert" obtained by The SullivanTimes and issued on August 13 to staff.
The group facilities are defined in the practice alert as nursing homes, group homes, mental health residential settings licensed under Office of Mental Health, assisted living facilities, residential hospices and tertiary care facilities.
