JUDGE SIGNS ORDER IN DA'S RACE PROHIBITING CERTIFICATION UNTIL HEARING & DECISION BY COURT

BREAKING: Acting State Supreme Court Justice Kimberly A. O'Connor -from Albany County -has just signed an order in the race for Sullivan County District Attorney that prevents the Board of Elections from certifying a winner, at least until the outcome of a hearing (that is now set for November 18) and the determination of the court.


The judge, who began her career as an Assistant District Attorney in Schenectady, was appointed to the Court of Claims by Governor George Pataki in 2006.


Albany attorney Paul DerOhannesian is representing Acting District Attorney Meagan Galligan while John Kelly of Monticello is representing Frank LaBuda. Thomas Cawley, deputy County Attorney, is representing the Sullivan County Board of Elections.
