Criminal defense attorney Steven A. Metcalf II has confirmed to The SullivanTimes today that he is representing Narrowsburg native Edward Jacob Lang in connection with his participation in the January 6 riots at the U.S. Capitol.
At press time, Lang has not appeared in court but is expected to have a preliminary proceeding before U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew E. Krause in White Plains. The prosecutor is Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin Grinaforti, The SullivanTimes has learned.
Lang, 25, was arrested by the FBI at his Newburgh home on Saturday and has been held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan. He faces multiple federal charges that were laid out in a January 15 federal complaint.
