PETERS ORDERED TO SURRENDER HIMSELF TO COUNTY JAIL AT 3 PM TODAY


PARKSVILLE - Joseph Peters Sr. has been ordered by Acting State Supreme Court Justice Mark M. Meddaugh to surrender to the Sullivan County Jail by 3 pm today to begin serving a 45-day sentence .


Last month, he was sentenced in Town of Fallsburg court from a 2017 incident that was part of his years-long harassment of neighbors RJ Baker and Wade St. Germain on Main Street here.


Peters was convicted on November 10, 2020 of Stalking in the Fourth Degree, a Class B misdemeanor, according to Assistant District Attorney Leigh Wellington.


Other charges are pending against Peters, plus a civil suit filed by Baker and St. Germain.
